For an idea of what Jessi will be discussing on the radio, please check out her previous blog post on the purpose and goals on CPR. It asks and answers many questions about how and why the club was started and it outlines several of the goals for the future. Here is a short excerpt:
I hope you enjoy the article and the radio interview!!Q: What will this group do to promote life on campus?
A: We offer alternatives to abortion. As it currently stands, there is almost no choice for students who find themselves pregnant while in college. Because of a lack of resources and help in areas such as housing, financial aid, childcare and general awareness, if a student decides to keep her baby, she has little chance of staying in school. They say women have a choice, but it seems like these students don't. We are on campus to promote the choice of life; to offer the choice of life.
As a club, we feel that promoting pro-life values and awareness does not stop with rallies, news articles, posters and t-shirts. We need to step out and do something more if a change is going to be made. That something more is to be the help and the aid these students and their babies so desperately need.
